About Us

The Acle Allotment Association (AAA) site is located just off Boat Dyke Lane, opposite the Hermitage restaurant. It incorporates 40 allotment plots of varying size plus two communal sheds, a WC and picnic area. There is a small hardstanding car park, to the left, just inside the main entrance and a larger  grass car park to the right of the gate.

Committee Members

The Management Committee is made up of at least 5 association members plus 3 Officers all of whom are appointed during our AGM.

AAA Events

Open Day


Each year our association holds an Open day when we offer people the opportunity to look round our allotment site. We also organise fundraising activities such as produce and cake sales, tea stall and a raffle. The monies raised not only help to keep the plot rents down but also cover the cost of essential site maintenance activities. 

Our annual spring Plant Sale and Open Day are unlikely to go ahead this year due to Corvid-19 virus restrictions; but watch this for the Open Day space just in case!! 

We hope to hold a Community Maintenance Morning in the Spring. Normally these events are well attended by Members and partners when we carry out general allotment site refurbishment and maintenance work.

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for February, has been cancelled due the current lockdown restrictions. We intend to hold a virtual AGM during the latter part of the month based on email and hard copy communication.

If, later in the year, COVID-19 restrictions and personal safety requirements permit, we will try and hold a full AGM.



Our association's annual BBQ offers members and their families an opportunity to meet socially . The event normally takes place in July and in recent years we have fortunate with dry weather, let's hope it continues!


We currently have no vacant allotments and there are twelve people on our waiting list for a plot; five of whom are Acle residents.
